Peregrination

Peregrination means to travel from place to place, or a long journey. It relates to owls, Snowy Owls in particular and others in that they have what’s called irruptions. They go where food is abundant, usually from North America to Canada where the main diet on the tundra are lemmings. If food is scarce they fly elsewhere in irruptions searching and then eating other creatures such as rodents. This behavior is a mystery in many ways.
